da leao: Aston Villa have made an approach to sign another player amid their Tammy Abraham pursuit to compensate for a ‘serious injury’, according to some breaking information.

da lvbet: Villa are increasingly optimistic about completing a sensational return for Abraham, with the club encouraged by positive developments in negotiations over the past 24 hours.

According to Ben Jacobs, the 28-year-old striker is open to a Villa Park reunion, and the Premier League title challengers are prepared to offer him a long-term contract as part of their January rebuild (via CaughtOffside).

The Times reports that Villa are closing in on a deal, with the club’s proposal of a four-and-a-half-year contract designed to outmanoeuvre rival Premier League interest, notably from Nottingham Forest.

The extended terms demonstrate Villa’s long-term faith rather than short-term calculation, giving them an edge over other suitors in securing Abraham’s signature.

Abraham remains fondly remembered at Villa Park following his prolific loan spell from Chelsea in 2018/2019, when he scored 26 goals in 40 matches to fire the club to Premier League promotion.

Abraham was being pursued by other Premier League sides, including Everton, but has indicated Villa is his preference, making a return increasingly likely.

However, the deal faces significant complications. Abraham is currently on loan at Besiktas from Roma, with the Turkish side believed to have met the conditions to turn his loan into a permanent move.

Villa must therefore negotiate with both Roma and Besiktas to facilitate the transfer, with the Turkish club expected to demand compensation before forfeiting their purchase obligation.

Besiktas will reportedly turn their attention to Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca, who is on loan at Napoli, if Abraham leaves, potentially easing negotiations.

Sky Sports confirms that tentative discussions have already started over a Villa switch, though Abraham is not the only striker on Unai Emery’s radar.

The urgency for attacking reinforcements has intensified following Donyell Malen’s departure to Roma. With Ollie Watkins managing just seven goals in 29 appearances this season across all competitions, Emery desperately needs support for his first-choice striker.

Villa are competing across multiple fronts including the Premier League title race, FA Cup and Europa League, so Emery needs to be backed this month.

They also need a new midfielder with Boubacar Kamara set for a lengthy lay-off, and did try to sign Conor Gallagher before Spurs beat them to the punch.

Aston Villa make approach for Raphael Onyedika after Kamara injury

Following Kamara’s ‘serious injury’, as reported by Sky Switzerland’s Sacha Tavolieri this afternoon, Villa have now made an approach to sign Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika.

The 24-year-old, who’s been called one of Nigeria’s most underrated stars by Victor Osimhen, has made 24 appearances in all competitions for Brugge this season despite suffering a hamstring injury earlier in the campaign.

He’s also fresh off a productive AFCON, which has done enough to entice Villa’s interest.

However, Tavolieri also reports that Turkish champions Galatasaray are the current favourites for his signature.

Onyedika boasts a wealth of experience abroad despite still being young, having made 165 appearances for Brugge, including 22 in the Champions League.

The former FC Midtjylland ace, whose contract expires next year, apparently commands a price tag of around £12 million.
